On February 23, the Belvedere Museum will open an exhibition presenting the rich palette of Ukrainian modernism. Vienna is the fourth European location for this exhibition. This time, however, the exhibition also includes works of Art Nouveau, the period when the search for a national style in art began. Therefore, European viewers will be able to see works by Vsevolod Maksymovych, Vasyl and Fedir Krychevskyi, Oleksandr Murashko, Heorhii Narbut, Mykhailo Zhuk, Abram Manevych, Olena Kulchytska, and others.

The National Art Museum of Ukraine hosts a solo exhibition of Nadia Kaabi-Linke, an internationally renowned artist of Ukrainian-Tunisian descent. The exhibition project Squeezed in Infinity is about the feeling of an unreachable infinity, narrowing the actual space of action. It speaks about the lack of orientation within a world without a horizon constructed by idle narratives of eternity and the end of history. Yet it also opens the space for a program of talks, screenings, and exchanges that invites the public to fill the feeling of emptiness with the community's social resonance and shared feelings.

The Albertinum is dedicating a comprehensive survey exhibition to modern Ukrainian art. It is the first of its kind in Germany and Europe. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations, video works, graphic art and archives represent Ukrainian art from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. In the process, some of the exhibited works travel outside the country for the first time and provide insights into Ukraine's eventful history as well as its constant struggle for its own self-image.

The cost of participation in the master class is 200 UAH per person, the master class and mini-lecture — UAH 250, only the mini-lecture without the master class — UAH 100.
Guided tours are currently unavalable. However, different events take place in the museum every week, which you can find out about in the “News and events” section.
We humbly ask you to adhere to the following rules while visiting the museum:
– Outer clothing and umbrellas are to be left at the cloak room. Separate cabinets are reserved for large bags
– Photos and videos are allowed without flashes, provided that the use is non-commercial
– Do not approach the exhibits closer than 40 cm (15,7 inches)
– No food and beverages are allowed in the museum halls
– Do not touch the art/exhibits
– Do not enter the museum with pets or other animals
In case of the air raid alert, the events are suspended, and all visitors must proceed to the nearest bomb shelters – the underground passage under the European Square (Yevropeiska ploshcha) or the “Maidan Nezalezhnosti” metro station.
