“Art in the land of war” third showing. Anton Lohov and Svitlana Karuns’ka
Dear friends, we are resuming screenings and meetings with the figures of the documentary series “Art in the Land of War” at NAMU.
On March 10th, at 17:00, we invite you to the National Art Museum of Ukraine to watch the following documentary series “Art in the land of war” – a joint project of the documentary film studio DocNoteFilms and the independent filmmakers’ association BABYLON’13 (“Babylon’13”). After watching the episodes, we will talk to the protagonists, Anton Lohov and Svitlana Karuns’ka.
Anton Lohov is a contemporary Kyiv-based artist who uses mixed media in his installations, videos and paintings. His works have been exhibited in numerous galleries in Ukraine and Europe. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the artist left Kyiv and moved to a remote village in the Carpathians. There he explored a new and unfamiliar environment, which resulted in a new series of works.
Svitlana Karuns’ka is a sculptor and painter from Kyiv. Her works are kept in the Museum of the History of the City of Kyiv and private collections in a number of European and North American countries. She works with materials that may seem uncharacteristic of sculpture – paper, cardboard, colored smalt, paint.
📌 March 10th (Friday), 17:00.
Entrance to the museum is through the service entrance located at the back of the building.
📌Admission is free with mandatory registration.
