NAMU announces a charity auction

NAMU announces a charity auction

The National Art Museum of Ukraine announces a charity auction to support the Semynoh family and calls on artists to submit their works.

The large Semynoh family from Velyka Dymerka in the Kyiv region lost their home due to the Russian occupation, and a mangled enemy tank remained in their garden. In the summer, a photo went viral: the owner of the torn-off tower had arranged a cabbage garden with flowers planted nearby. Although the parents and their three children do not have their own home, they have not given up. The children began to paint and sell the parts from the enemy tank, and donated the proceeds to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The director general of the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Yulia Lytvynets, met the family and offered to help by organizing a charity auction, with all the proceeds going to build a new house for the Semynoh family.

We urge artists to join our charity initiative and provide their works as auction lots. All proceeds will be used to build a new house for the Semynoh family.

To submit your works for the charity auction, please contact the National Art Museum of Ukraine
• via phone 066 731 3468 – Denys Shvachko, Head of the Communication and Promotion Department at NAMU
• or via emails: namumuseum@gmail.com; exhibition@namu.ua

The auction will take place after the Easter day, in the second half of April.

We are convinced that by combining the efforts of non-indifferent people, a miracle can be created.
