NAMU on the silver screen

NAMU on the silver screen

Dear friends, on May 28, the Day of Kyiv, the Lira Cinema and the National Art Museum of Ukraine invite you to a special screening of the documentary “National Museum” directed by Andrii Zagdanskyi.

The creators of the film watched the life of the museum from the inside for six months, the daily work of the team and preparations for two large-scale exhibitions – “Revelation”, which for the first time gathered in one place monuments of the Brotherhood Monastery in Kyiv, and “Oleksandr Bohomazov. Creative Laboratory”, dedicated to the artistic search for a prominent Ukrainian avant-garde artist. From the Ukrainian Baroque to the Ukrainian avant-garde is the narrative line of the film and the symbolic path of Ukrainian art and, it seems, of Ukraine itself.

At the event, viewers will have the opportunity to talk to the film director Andrii Zagdanskyi and the director general of the National Art Museum Yulia Lytvynets.

Welcome!
